The Fayde Shot is a trickshot that can be done in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops. It involves the player shooting his gun and reloading straight after, but cancelling the reload to shoot again. This cancels out the bolt-action and therefore increases the rate of fire of the sniper.
Reload cancelling can be done by double tapping Y or triangle in the middle of a reload but also by bringing equipment out or gliding. Since there is no double Y or triangle in MW3, a fayde shot can only be achieved by using sprint or equipment to cancel the reload.
Triple Fayde Edit
A triple fayde consists of the player shooting three times in the air with 2 reload cancels present and the third shot being the kill shot.
A quad fayde consists of the player shooting 4 times in the air with 3 reload cancels present and the fourth shot being the kill shot. This can only really be done effectively from high spots such as on Quarry and Highrise.
